Green Lake Resort, perched on top of a hill in the heart of the Catskills, offers a magical view of one of Catskill’s most stunning lakes. Set upon acres and acres of plush green grass and woodland forests, Green Lake Resort has offered its hospitality for generations. Green Lake Resort was first known as a boarding house in the 1890’s, it was around this time that the main building at the resort was built by the Guteriis family. Green Lake welcomed its very first famous face, Jimmy Durante; who worked as a singing waiter. From the Guteriis, ownership went to the Ritz family, two generations of McGifferts, Bruggemann, the Cippitelli’s, and now Green Lake Resort is owned by non-profit organizations operating as a for-profit business; NYMD Green Lake. Guests can still anticipate the same Cippitelli hospitality they have come to love from the “Hostess with the Mostess,” Ida Cippitelli, and Master Chef Enzo Cippitelli. With Green Lake Resort’s new improvements, guests can enjoy nearby golfing, hiking trails, and fishing in our private pond and as well as Green Lake itself. Guests can also enjoy the scenic vista from the Resort’s full service dining room and Grand View Club. The nearby lakes and mountains of the Catskills offer ample opportunity for year round recreation and scenic drives.
